Lyon Agents & Staff Donate Their Time on Community Service Day
Held June 10, the annual Lyon Community Service Day, now in its second year, brings together volunteers from each of Lyon’s 17 offices to help communities in need. From food banks to animal rescues, local organizations benefit from the hands-on projects led by Lyon volunteers. This year, more than 180 agents and staff put in nearly 540 hours of work (despite the 100-plus degree temperatures!) to help out.
“Our vision is to inspire and empower care and kindness in the communities we serve,” says Pat Shea, Lyon CEO. “Through our annual community service day, we put that vision into action as our agents and staff volunteer their time to make a difference. From river clean ups to neighborhood revitalization and beyond, this year was an impactful one!”
Lyon’s Community Service Day allows agents and staff to give back to the communities in which they live, work and play. Each office researches the greatest need in their local area, reaches out to organization and works collaboratively to plan their project. Some of the projects this year included preparing flower beds for The Petal Connection, which delivers flower bouquets to hospice patients and seniors; making home repairs for needy residents through Rebuilding Together Sacramento; and preparing food boxes for delivery to low-income seniors via Meals on Wheels Yolo County.
Following are organizations and projects Lyon agents and staff assisted with in 2022:
- Shriner’s Hospital for Children
- Aspire Kids
