Windermere Signature Properties Coat Drive: 130,000+ Items Donated

Over 8,000 winter clothing items collected in 2026, bringing our total to more than 130,000 donations since 2010.

For 16 years, the Greater Sacramento community has come together with one simple mission: to help keep our neighbors warm.

This October, Windermere Signature Properties proudly continued that tradition through our 16th Annual Coat Drive, collecting more than 8,000 winter clothing items across our 13 local offices. Thanks to the generosity of our agents, employees, clients, and community members, these donations will benefit 17 local organizations serving individuals and families throughout Sacramento, Yolo, Placer, and El Dorado counties.

With this year’s contributions, our annual Coat Drive has now collected more than 130,000 winter clothing items since 2010, a milestone that represents far more than the number of coats, jackets, scarves, and gloves donated. Each item represents a neighbor helping a neighbor, a family receiving support, and a community that continues to show up for one another.

More Than a Coat. A Community That Cares.

Behind every donation is a simple act of kindness. A warm jacket for a child walking to school. A winter coat for a parent working to provide for their family. A pair of gloves or a scarf offering comfort to someone facing difficult circumstances.

These small acts of generosity add up to something extraordinary.

What began in 2010 as a company-wide effort to collect winter clothing has grown into a beloved annual tradition, bringing together thousands of people who share a commitment to helping those in need.

Throughout October, our offices became collection centers filled with donations from agents, clients, neighbors, and local businesses. From closets cleaned out at home to bags of newly purchased winter clothing, every contribution helped make this year’s drive a success.

Supporting 17 Local Organizations Across Our Region

One of the most meaningful aspects of our annual Coat Drive is knowing that the donations collected stay right here in the communities we serve.

This year, our 13 offices distributed winter clothing to 17 local organizations throughout the Greater Sacramento region, helping provide warmth and comfort to individuals and families who need it most.
