For obvious reasons, we are major fans of furniture shops and home decor in general. Scout Living is an antique and design collective bringing together over 20 of the best dealers and makers from the Sacramento region. They specialize in mid-century modern, Danish Modern, and vintage furniture and home accessories, but they also offer designer vintage clothing and accessories, and locally produced crafts. The local and artisan focus at Scout Living means you can find some unique and one-of-a-kind pieces to display in your home! It all started with napkins. Ruthie McRonald, owner of Haberdasherie, once found some napkins she loved and hosted a dinner party in her home simply because she wanted an excuse to use them. And ultimately, Haberdasherie was born! Ruthie wanted to create a store that has all of the things she loves and knows others will love as well. Haberdasherie is a gorgeous collection of home decor items, accessories, jewelry, and gift items. You will find everything from cozy candles to crisp linen pillow shams, and elegant dinner napkins to bath towels. The store’s mantra says it quite plainly: “If you love it, it should live in your home.” We completely agree!

In addition to an impressive comic book selection and popular action figures and posters, Oblivion serves specialty coffee from Chocolate Fish Coffee Roasters along with pastries and artisan toast with vegan options. We had a chance to talk with the visionaries behind Oblivion, who were thrilled to launch the business after winning the 2016 Calling All Dreamers competition presented by the Downtown Sacramento Foundation.
