Pumpkin Nights Is Coming to Auburn October 13-29

For the first year ever, Pumpkin Nights is coming to Auburn, California at the Gold Country Fairgrounds! This exquisite event invites visitors to experience the essence of Halloween while walking through eight immersive lands created with over 3,000 hand-carved pumpkins. Guests may also participate in interactive activities, and enjoy seasonal food and beverages amidst a festive setting. This outdoor, family-friendly Halloween walk-through will be open for 17 days this fall — from Friday, October 13 through Sunday, October 29.

Pumpkin Nights began in 2016 in Twin Cities at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. During the 18-day run, the event attracted over 20,000 people and sold out on multiple dates. This year, this popular event is returning to Twin Cities and launching in Salt Lake City and Auburn. We are thrilled to have the Most Delightful Halloween Tradition in our backyard!

“We’re excited to bring the magic of Pumpkin Nights to Northern California this year,” said Chelsea Kasen, Pumpkin Nights event director. “Each of the participants who walk through the fairpark’s gates will be transported into an immersive Halloween land. Pumpkin Nights is the perfect Halloween experience for everyone: families, friends, and even dates!”

The Auburn location of Pumpkin Nights will include several of the iconic installations of Twin Cities, including Pumpkin Passage, a nod to Harry Potter’s Great Hall; Rum River Pirates, the tropical island where pirates protect the pumpkin treasure; Dia de los Muertos, where a pumpkin mariachi band serenades visitors and sugar skulls hang overhead; and The Great Pumpkin Reef, an underwater pumpkin marvel filled with bubbles, mermaids, and coral.

Pumpkin Nights is suitable for all ages, as it is not overly childlike but also not a horror event or haunted house. In addition to the immersive lands, Pumpkin Nights offers a variety of food, seasonal beverages, movie screenings, and plenty of activities for the whole family. Visitors are highly encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween costumes; keep in mind that masks are permitted, but props and weapons should be kept at home.
