First Festival Launches in West Sac Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day sneaks up on this year, falling fairly early on May 25. It’s the first step into summer and Sacramento area neighborhoods and communities never fail to usher it in.

Making its first appearance this busy weekend is First Festival in West Sacramento. Taking place Saturday, May 23 at the River Walk Park, this inaugural event aims to capture the Capital City’s spirit by featuring local crafters, business owners, performers, and musicians. All the entertainment will be carefully selected to put the spotlight on the area’s best artists.

Other hot happenings include the Sacramento Music Festival in Old Sacramento; Rocks and Rhones wine event in El Dorado County; Blues, Burgers and Brews in Loomis; and the Sacramento County Fair at Cal Expo.
