Where to Celebrate the Fourth of July In & Around Sacramento

America’s semiquincentennial means local communities are pulling out all the stops this Independence Day. Following is a guide to Fourth of July events slated for the greater Sacramento area.
Cameron Park Summer Spectacular
June 27, 2026 | Cameron Park
Get a jump start on the Fourth of July at this annual summer spectacular. Held on June 27, Cameron Park’s biggest community celebration of the year includes entertainment, food trucks, and live music, all culminating with an amazing fireworks show. There’s also a kids’ zone, a beer garden, and a cornhole tournament.
July 2–4, 2026 | Rodeo Park
Held every year over Independence Day, this is one of the largest rodeos in the west. It features all the classic rodeo events, including bull riding, barrel racing, and trick roping. There’ll also be cowboy motocross, live music, line dancing and fireworks each night. To welcome the rodeo to town, there’ll be a special Hometown Parade & Cattle Drive through Historic Folsom on July 1.
El Dorado Hills Fireworks & Freedom Concert

If you love live music, head out to El Dorado Hills for the annual Independence Day celebration. Held the day before the Fourth of July, the family-friendly event features performances by several popular regional bands, plus a kids’ play area with bounce houses, face painting, a balloon artist, and shaved ice. In the evening, there is a spectacular fireworks show over the water. Guests are encouraged to wear red, white and blue — and sparkles!
Woodland’s Independence Day Celebration
July 3–4, 2026 | Various Locations
This annual event in Woodland has all the makings of a great community event: family-friendly activities, live entertainment, food, and fireworks. The two-day celebration begins on Friday, July 3 with games, inflatables, food, and a fireworks show. The following day begins with a pancake breakfast, followed by a bike parade and party in the park complete with bounce houses, games, and free snow cones. Later, there’s an ice cream social at the senior center and free swimming at the new aquatics center.
Rancho Cordova 4th of July Celebration
July 3–4, 2026 | Hagan Community Park
Held at Hagan Community Park in Rancho Cordova, this two-day patriotic festival is expanding more every year. The event starts with a fun run, followed by a parade, carnival rides, and circus acts throughout the day. There will also be live music and, of course, fireworks! Food trucks will also be onsite, as well wine and ice-cold beer for the grownups.
July 4, 2026 | Drake’s: The Barn
Held at Drakes: The Barn in West Sacramento, this epic lawn party gives you prime viewing spots for the firework show put on at nearby Sutter Health Park. Leading up to the fireworks, there’ll be live music, a silent disco, a BBQ dinner, DJs, and a viewing party for the A’s vs Marlins game. You can also purchase wine, beer, and cocktails from the onsite bar.
Roseville 4th of July Celebration
July 4, 2026 | Various Locations
Roseville will be celebrating America’s birthday all over town! The day begins with a fun run beginning at Vernon Street Town Square, followed by a patriotic parade with decorated floats, marching bands, dance troupes, and community groups. The parade ends at Royer Park, where you’ll find games and activities for kids, live music, local vendors, and plenty of food. That night, The Grounds will host a fireworks show complete with activities and food, so come early to snag a seat in the grandstands or bring a blanket or a chair.
Elk Grove’s Salute to the Red, White & Blue
July 4, 2026 | Elk Grove Park
Elk Grove is going all out this year to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. The event will feature food trucks, vendors, and hands-on activities and games for kids. There’ll be a live concert featuring the tunes of Pop Fiction and even a silent disco under the stars. But the real star of the show will be the nighttime drone show and fireworks display.
Lincoln Fourth of July Celebration
July 4, 2026 | McBean Park
This all-American celebration in Lincoln is all about food, fun, and family. You can fuel up with a pancake breakfast before you head to the hometown parade through town. Then, the festival kicks off with food trucks, vendor booths, kids’ activities, live music, and dancing. In the evening, there will be a Lincoln Potters baseball game, followed by a fireworks show.
Davis Fourth of July Celebration
July 4, 2026 | Community Park
This family-focused community event in Davis celebrates all things U.S.A. There’s a children’s fun zone with games and activities, as well as a children’s market where young entrepreneurs will be selling their creations. Live music begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by a fireworks show after dark. In addition, local nonprofits will be onsite selling snacks and treats, or you can bring your own picnic.
Pollock Pines Independence Day Parade

Head to the mountains to celebrate the 250th anniversary of America at the annual Pollock Pines Independence Day Parade. You can show off your patriotism by entering the parade with your own decorated vehicle or grab a seat along the sidelines and watch the show. Or you can walk the parade with your kids for free.

Auburn hosts its own community celebration for the Fourth of July, and this year it will be especially patriotic as America celebrates its 250th year! The day begins with a fun run, followed by a Fourth of July parade with a flyover. Afterwards is a community festival and the annual Duck Derby, in which thousands of rubber duckies will be dropped over targets for a chance to win prizes as part of a fundraising event for a local charity.
Arden Park Fourth of July Bike Parade & Festival

There’s nothing more Americana than a parade, and Sacramento’s Arden Arcade neighborhood is kicking off Independence Day with a community parade. Afterwards, there’ll be live music, a kids’ play zone, and hamburgers and hot dogs for sale.
