Lyon Cares Foundation: Full-Year Recap of Our Community Giving in 2024

At Windermere Signature Properties, our mission has always been rooted in giving back to the communities we proudly call home. In 2024, we achieved remarkable milestones in community giving, volunteerism, and partnerships that positively impacted countless lives.

This year, Windermere Signature Properties contributed a total of $152,500 to 30 local and national nonprofit organizations. Since the Lyon Cares Foundation began in 2015, we are proud to have distributed a remarkable $1,525,865 to support causes that uplift our communities and create lasting positive change.

Our agents and employees have always been the driving force behind our philanthropic efforts, with more than 97% contributing to the foundation. Their dedication fuels every initiative we undertake.

Supporting 31 Local and National Organizations

From combating human trafficking to supporting at-risk youth, addressing hunger, and enhancing education, the Lyon Cares Foundation grants are making a real impact. Some of this year’s grant recipients include:

• 3Strands Global Foundation – Fighting human trafficking through education, employment, and engagement initiatives.
• Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services – Addressing hunger and food insecurity by providing nutritious food and vital services to families.
• Habitat for Humanity – Building affordable housing for families in need to create stable, sustainable communities.

Annual Coat Drive: Keeping Our Community Warm

Our annual Coat Drive was another highlight of 2024, bringing warmth and care to those in need. This year, we collected an incredible 8,676 coats, adding to the 113,676 coats donated since the drive’s inception in 2011. These contributions help provide essential winter clothing to individuals and families throughout the Greater Sacramento region, ensuring no one faces the cold alone.

This longstanding tradition reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the communities we serve, one coat at a time.

4th Annual Community Service Day

This year marked our Fourth Annual Community Service Day, where our agents and staff came together to make a difference in the communities we call home. Over the course of the day, our team contributed more than 50 hours of service, partnering with local organizations to support meaningful projects that uplift the Greater Sacramento region.

From hands-on volunteer efforts to impactful collaborations, Community Service Day continues to embody our mission of compassion and service, reinforcing our dedication to improving lives and strengthening neighborhoods.

Cancer Champions Run

Our partnership with the Cancer Champions Run continues to inspire us. This year’s event brought the community together to raise awareness and funds for cancer research and support services. More than 200 agents, staff, and their families participated in the event, raising nearly $30,000 as Team Lyon. The day featured 10K, 5K, and 1-mile race options, along with a virtual participation option, allowing for broad community involvement.

Annual Chili Feed

Our annual Chili Feed was a heartwarming highlight of 2024, bringing together agents, staff, and community members for a delicious and impactful event. This year, the Chili Feed raised an impressive $9,000, with all proceeds benefiting local nonprofits dedicated to uplifting our communities

As we reflect on an incredible year of giving, we look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead. In 2025, Windermere Signature Properties will continue its mission of empowering our communities, one grant at a time. We are excited to support even more organizations and initiatives that make a real impact.

Beyond our grants and volunteer efforts, many of our offices host local fundraising events to collect much-needed items for those in their communities. From toy drives to food collections, these events are a testament to the power of coming together to help our neighbors.

Our team’s unwavering dedication, combined with the generous contributions of our agents and employees, drives our collective effort to build a better, stronger Sacramento.
