That said, there is still technically a travel advisory in effect, recommending Californians to avoid non-essential travel more than 120 miles from their homes. However, many small businesses depend on tourist dollars to keep their families afloat, so they welcoming guests with open arms.
Luckily, the Sacramento area is smack dab in the middle of Northern California, meaning an ocean getaway or mountain retreat is just a short drive away. There are many options available for lodging, from traditional hotel or motel rooms to glamping destinations.
