8 Homes For Sale in Sacramento Lady Bird Would Be Proud Of

Released in late 2017, Lady Bird is a coming-of-age film following the story of high-schooler Christine “Lady Bird” McPherson and her tumultuous relationship with her mother. The movie is set in 2002 in Sacramento, where writer and director Greta Gerwig was born and raised.

If you’ve seen Lady Bird, you know that the main character, Lady Bird, battles not only relationship drama with her mother (among others), but also struggles internally with her relationship with Sacramento. She dreams of attending colleges far away from the city yet speaks lovingly about her hometown as the movie progresses.

Like many teenagers, Lady Bird also struggles with her social and financial status as perceived by her peers. She once visited her ex-boyfriend’s grandmother’s house, a stunning bright blue Colonial mansion in the desirable Fab Forties neighborhood. Later on, when asked where she lives, Lady Bird frantically claims that iconic house as her own, as she is embarrassed by her seemingly less-than-glamorous living arrangements.

We think any place we get to call home is something to be proud of, no matter its size, location or appearance! However, here are some homes for sale in Sacramento we think Lady Bird would be proud to claim.
