11 Places to Recycle CRV Items in Sacramento

While it’s important to have an eco-friendly focus throughout the entire country, California is a special state when it comes to recycling. California, and many other states with similar programs, give an incentive for recycling that can add up significantly over time.

As you might have noticed on certain beverage containers, in tiny print, you’ll find something that says “CA CRV,” which stands for California Redemption Value. This means that this particular beverage container is eligible for reimbursement if you bring it to a recycling center.

Currently, you’ll receive 5 cents for containers less than 24 ounces and 10 cents for containers 24 ounces and larger. While this may not seem like a significant amount of money, the reimbursement of recycling can really add up over the years. Plus, it is a great way to encourage your children to start thinking about recycling, as 5 cents is worth much more at a younger age!
