Before-and-After Home Inspiration from Sacramento Interior Designers

We are constantly looking for ways to improve our interiors, excuses to dream about decks, and projects to spruce up our home for spring. During the course of said ambitions, it’s always fun to see dramatic before-and-after photos of spaces that underwent a transformation of sorts.

There are so many talented interior designers in the greater Sacramento area, and they have the portfolios to prove it!

We decided to showcase said designers in the form of a before-and-after collection to celebrate #TransformationTuesday. Get inspired by these renovations, admire local talent, and consider making some changes in your own space if need be. (Hint: This would be a good contact list to start with!)

Designs With You In Mind

Designs With You In Mind is a Roseville-based full-service interior design firm that completely transformed this bathroom. Founder Cathy Tonks and her team specialize in commercial and residential design services to create stunning and personalized environment customized to each client’s vision and desire. We love the way they took this completely outdated bathroom (with carpet!) and turned it into something truly spectacular. Using this bathroom every day would feel like you’re staying in a resort!

Todd Peddicord Designs

Todd of Todd Peddicord Designs has an impressive portfolio of transformation projects, but let’s zoom in on two of our favorites. This kitchen overpowered with an orangey wooden cabinet look received a fresh, bright and clean facelift. Todd and his team capitalized on the white kitchen design trend we all admire. We are also very impressed by this living room project that went from “meh” to an incredible modern and unique space. We appreciate the juxtaposition of the wooden walls with the white, contemporary built-ins. And don’t even get us started on that coffee table!

Pepperjack Interiors

Laura of Pepperjack Interiors made this depressing living space completely unrecognizable. This looks like one of the most cozy places to relax in front of the fire, entertain guests, or unwind with a movie at the end of the day. We love the warm tones she incorporated into the new space, and the unique fireplace/television feature she added as a focal point in the space.

Swass Interior Design

This living space was dark and bland before Swass Interior Design got their hands on it. It’s amazing what difference a fresh coat of white paint and some intelligent furniture and decor decisions can make in a space! They switched the color scheme from tans and browns to a neutral white and gray look that provides a lot of contrast. Plus, the bold artwork on the wall adds just the right amount of color to this room!

Benning Design Associates

Benning Design Associates transformed an entire open-floor space in this previously dark and dreary home. The kitchen, living room, dining room and hallway took on a whole new look, with modern, larger-than-life features that truly brighten up the home. We are obsessed with the stainless steel additions and the intentional use of lighting — like in the bright and welcoming hallway.

Kerrie Kelly Design Lab

There was nothing particularly *wrong* with this kitchen before it underwent a transformation; it just wasn’t all right. Kerrie Kelly Design Lab wowed us with this renovation that significantly opened up and brightened this kitchen. They were able to remove a wall, add an enormous kitchen island, and open the space to overlook the back deck.
