Explore Sac’s Historic Homes

Sacramento is home to spectacular residences that we can often only wonder about as we drive or stroll by. Preservation Sacramento will offer a unique glimpse into some of these storied homes September 20 during the 2015 Historic Home Tour.

The 40th annual tour features the architectural treasures of the Richmond Grove neighborhood in downtown Sacramento (bordered by W, R, 12th and 19th Streets). The self-guided outing showcases Queen Anne, 20th century revival, arts and crafts, and art deco architectures. Other highlighted properties include an industrial warehouse converted to residential use, a Craftsman bungalow owned by a board member of the Bank of America, and the prairie-style home of one of Sacramento’s most respected judges. Docents will be on hand to assist with tours at each property.
