Sac Mag Names Hot Neighborhoods

Sacramento Magazine recently published its latest list of the area’s hottest neighborhoods. In addition to fervent real estate activity, writer Marybeth Bizjak considers lifestyle, location, and development in her selections. Which communities made the cut and why?

Oak Park – Seemingly always a bridesmaid, Oak Park finally made the ranks as a hot market due to significant developments and its proximity to downtown. The area is now home to the Oak Park Brewing Company and the Broadway Triangle Project.

Rocklin – This Placer County city was named for its family appeal and aesthetic surroundings.

East Sacramento – Not new to the list, East Sac remains a hot market for its low inventory, unique homes, and strong community feel.

Folsom – Noted for offering historic and new homes, Folsom’s big draw remains the Palladio shopping center. There seems to be little inventory in the area, subsequently driving desirability and values up.

Sierra Oaks – This community’s location (relative to downtown) makes it a top pick among homebuyers, particularly those seeking a luxury lifestyle.

West Sacramento – Booming development inches West Sac to the top of many homebuyer’s lists. The Broderick neighborhood is already bustling with buyers while the Bridge District is destined to be the next big draw.

Elk Grove – Nestled between Highway 99 and Interstate 5, this one-time bedroom community has evolved into its own thriving city with a strong sense of community and numerous greenbelts.
